When having my interview with Matt, he mentioned how he went to a protest in London when he was young. He explains how even though there were people protesting, they also used music and raved to protest and go against the Bill.

After looking into what protest he was talking about, I discovered it was the protest against the Criminal Justice Act, which young people recently protested against in Bristol this year as well!
This Act would give the "police the power to shut down events featuring music that's “characterised by the emission of a succession of repetitive beats” " (1)
In 1994, the Kill the Bill was protesting in London and Bristol. There were also parties to go against what the bill would be trying to suppress. The buildup to this Act and the protest was not surprising as from the late 70s to 80s, policemen had been cracking down on illegal raves.
